Rodo call saying I need to "kindly" call back before they send this " Legal matter to my local county courthouse. They did not mention a debt, collection or the IRS. The message was very vague. I know it's a scam. However, being the practical jokester I am, I figured what the heck. I'm game. So I called from another number (blocked). No answer. Just the message- the cellular customer you are trying to reach is unavailable. How many real "legal" matters are handled by a cell phone? I really wanted to waste their time. I may have our IT dept robo dial them and tie up their phones.
Called back to this number and talked toan officer who said his names "Dick Smoak".
He said he was assigned to collect payments for his mother in Nigeria who insists I cheated her out of 25 cents she earned
by performing exotic sexual acts on me.
Robocall message left on answering machine saying a lawsuit was about to be filed. Called back and person with a thick accent claimed to be an IRS agent. Knowing it was BS, I told him where he could go and filed a complaint with the Dept of Treasury (like Rick).
