Left a message and said his name is Officer Eric Foster from the IRS and the message is for "you" - that that it is extremely sensitive and not to try to disregard the message and if he didn't hear from me or my attorney all he could say is "good luck"... It reminds me of Liam Neeson's movie "Taken". Anyway, he has a heavy accent and a lot of background noise... This is definitely a SCAM..
This was an incredibly nerve racking experience for me personally due to the fact I've been audited twice and my due money was being held for months and now I get this call. I am in debt right now and I am going to complete that debt with these taxes. Now I'm just pissed
718-337-8186........ that is the number I'm supposed to call indicated by a "creepy" individual on the opposite end of the line. In what appeared to resemble a 'middle-eastern' accent, he made a THREATENING remark stating that he "wasn't going to be responsible for whatever happens to me.... and if I didn't call this number back promptly, I may experience a BAD situation. This didn't feel like a typically 'harmless' SCAM call, but rather more of a 'terrorist' sounding approach! What caught my attention at first were the background noises which echoed a bustling or chaotic environment comparable to Grand Central Station or perhaps a crowded airport. I felt so uneasy about this message that I even contemplated contacting the police or, at the very least, informing somebody else about this person or group of people involved in this racket. These imbeciles need to be stopped!! Absolutely no one - I mean NO ONE should ever be alarmed about what they've heard on their voicemail - THAT is when the line has been crossed! In this day and age, there are ENOUGH disturbances out there causing paranoia and fear. o_O
