30 plus calls from a so called locksmith service that tried to get $40 because I canceled there service after finding a quicker service. This number is from the city. I live about 2 hrs outside the city. Why would 411 say this is the locksmith for my area? Well anyways, this dumb girl said if i didn't pay her the cops would be at my door. I laughed at her and said ok send me a bill and then hung up on her. She then proceeded to call me about 30 times in less than an hr. I never answered, she left messages but would say anything, it just sounded like a call center, but i think its some sort of scam because i didn't provide her with any of my information and she wanted me to pay for a service i didn't receive and she was saying made up things like " Sir, you said you needed a locksmith, I just pulled the locksmith from a job he was doing because you said you needed help. BUT before i called and canceled she said he just finished a job and would come out to me, BUT he was about 2hrs away. That's when i started second guessing this service.
I also called ATT info and was connected with and recieved a text with the following info:

She said they'd be there in 20-30 minutes.
After 40 minutes, she said he's on his way, about 6-8 minutes.
After another 20 minutes, I told here to cancel and she tried to put me on hold, but hung up on me.
After over 1 hr 45 minutes, I called to verify my cancel order and she said I would still be charged. I explained it was not my house and I was calling from my cell and she said "well, we'll mess with your credit." Of course, no supervisor available in the evening or when I called back the following day. I asked a different phone monkey to have the manager call me back. He called back from the 718-382-3000 number to see what I was calling about. Never called me back.
The 718 number is from New York and I was calling from Texas!
Same thing here. My girlfriend locked her keys in her car and called McManaman's for a technician. After five minutes, she realized that she had a second set of keys back at her house and called to cancel. She was informed of a $45 cancellation fee (which was never mentioned) and was told that it would be put into collections if she didn't pay promptly. After a series of harassing phone calls, Mr McManaman HIMSELF (if you can believe such a thing) called and began his barrage of harassment, saying that he "would ruin my credit over $45"! Being yelled at and threatened is no way to do business, I told him, and that we'd see him in small claims court. That'll never happen, of course, seeing as how they don't have a leg to stand on, but it angers me that people could conceivably fall for this malarkey and pay money for services not rendered. Down with McManaman!
On my way to work i stopped off at a gas station & locked my keys in my car. I called 411 and was given 'John Mcmanamas 24/7 Locksmith, Safe & Door' for a response. I used that and the lady told me she would need my credit card number for deposit purposes of $45. (thinking this is the charge) so I gave it and she said a tech would be there within 20-30 min. 45 minutes later, I called and she was not personable and said he would be there any minute. 15 minutes later he shows up. does up his bill (before the work is done) and it's 45 and 175 written on the sheet. so stupid me thinks it's $1.75 tax. No problem. He asks for the rest of the money and I hand him $2. He looks at me like i'm crazy and said, no it's $175.00!!!!!! RIP OFF!!!!!! So i told him and called the customer service telling them it was not explained to me that it would be this much. If he would have told me that before he did it , i would have told him NO! I called the company when i got home and she says they are Locksmith Services, but the Assistant Manager (Dave) said they are John Mcmanaman's and the receipt i have is from Good Lock Locksmith & Security. THen the number on the receipt goes to a National Locksmith Services with an answering machine everytime. The number I called for the service doesn't give me any info. The one time I spoke with Dave he gave me an address for their company in Tacoma (3208 S 23rd St Tacoma,WA) and there is no locksmith coming up under that address!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called verison because i locked my keys in the trunk and they set me up with john mcmanamans service. Well- They came in 40 min not letting me know the total would be 170.00$$!!!!!!! I wanted to pay with credit and the technician said no, and that he would follow me to an ATM!!!! This is very inappropriate!I have called several time for a manager and there has been no call back! This is such a rip off because i have contacted 5 locksmith's in the area and they all said that they would not charge more than 60$ and that would be the most in the evening! I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Robbery!!!
