Yet again - can't recall how many times I've received this call. This is at least the 2nd or 3rd time. (I usually wait a few times before I begin to research such a number in case it's an honest mis-dial or someone having a wrong number.) Internet research shows Vitelity LLC to be in several states, and that it's a scam of some sort with people trying to get personal information details, one recent report was that the caller claimed to be an attorney and told the recipient of the call that she was going to be arrested the next day at 11Am - a clear cut illegal harassment and intimidation.
Again I ask, what's with the National Do Not Call List??? Are our tax dollars paying people to do absolutely nothing??? Was the effort and any related staff disbanded??? Multiple reports via the website have produced NO results, instead harassing annoying calls continue to escalate. It's as if that website is collecting our phone numbers to build their Call Marketing Lists in order to make these calls.
they called trying to get information about people in the house. They asked if we had children because it was relating to children's programs which is so creepy and scary. I tried to get their name and they hung up. How can I get on the no call list I get at least 3 phone calls from different companies every day.
Jess, just Google DNC registration. BUT, do not expect the DNC to immediately swing into action and do not expect it to be a call blocker of all unwanted calls. It is just a list that your number will be placed on, purchased by legitimate American based businesses who are registered with the FTC and within the FTC data base. Nothing else. It will not stop criminals, debt collectors or any other unwanted callers.
Just giving you a heads up. Many think it can and should block their unwanted calls regardless as well as cure Rabies.
