Same thing (PAL solicitation) I'm drafting a reply for the next solicitor that will go something like this: "Thank you for calling. I'm sure you have my best interest or the best interest of underprivileged people in mind but I no longer conduct any business, give out any information, or make any contributions during calls that I have not initiated. Please put me on your in house do not call list (note: the National Do Not Call list is useless). Have a good day"...."click"
I also have a call blocker but it is full at 100 blocked calls. I plan to clear it out and start all over using the above reply first and then block the number if called again.

Rec'd call from 718-407-0597 on 8/17 at 4:50pm on my CELL.. I've learned that any unrecognizable number...to let it go to voice mail. If important enough, caller will leave message. No msg left from this caller. Thank you for this site..
It is NOT the PAL. Caller Joe Mc.... talks like a machine from a script and doesn't answer my questions and refuses to take me off his list. He says it's for the "Police Conference." He calls back more often if I get angry.
says he is calling for the local police department looking for contributions - i checked with the local police department and they say it's not them - it's a scam
