Really??? You're posting compliments about your scam, claiming you're a legitimate business! Come on guys... You might try using reasonable grammar and spelling to look like a reasonable business.
One of my employees received a call from a person named Zhan Wilson, or John Wilson, claiming that her "Word was sending out signals". She stopped the call right there and asked me to call them back, as I run our I.S. department.
Not too surprisingly, when I called them and they learned that I am an I.S. professional, suddently "Mr. Wilson" was unable to talk to me at that time.
I don't know the exact nature of the scam, since I stopped it before it got off the ground, but I am sure this "company" is one to stay away from. In addition, the person I spoke with would not even identify the company he works for.
If they call you, please feel free to hang up on them in mid-sentence.
Jim, the same call to me from John Wilson just came to me and sounded bogus. He wanted me to go to www.loginmein123.com to fix what was signaled to Windows from my computer. Something about bad files. It sounded totally suspect so I didn't do it. When I declined to go online, he wanted me to press Windows tab + "r" .. which I didn't do. I Googled the phone number and found this blog. Glad I was smart enough to avoid potential problems. Probably hackers....right?
718 414 6518 called, claiming my computer was hit by a virus that was recently in the press. To pay for the service of cleaning up my computer, they set up a PayPal account for me and charged $229 for a 2 year service agreement.
When I told my family about the incident, comfortable with the story, so they called PayPal who immediately recognized the scam, said they had seen it before and shut down their ability to scam anyone else through PayPal, at least, with their current information.
Obviously, I've had my credit card account closed, too.
Be careful out there. We know cyber land is filled with bad guys, but, we still don't always recognize them when they call. PayPal is one of the good guys. They immediately refunded the $229 and walked us through everything we need to do to get this computer cleaned up
