When answered the phone, caller was a female who spoke in a foreign accent. Wanted to speak with my husband, but would not ID herself or the company they represented.
Totally ILLEGAL Pre-recorded and FALSE message about "the back brace you called about". Nope. Never Happened. Wouldn't buy ANYTHING form ANYONE in The Bronx. STRONGLY believe CORPORATE AMERICA is behind these calls since 98% of them come in on the landline that is tied to Corporate accounts such as our PHONE and CABLE services. Cable TV (TIME WARNER CABLE) commericials all the time for these types of SCAMS including this one (a MEDICARE SCAM), 'solar', switching your electricity provider, Class Action Lawsuits and Lowering bills/interest rates, etc. Within a DAY OR TWO of these commericals running, we get a call MATCHING that SCAM. This is the way the Ultra-Filthy RICH are slowing ROBBING us and our government BLIND.
Since you don't know what the call was about why would they be prosecuted? Simply because you are on the DNC? Or because you don't personally know anyone in NY? After all, a single call could have been a wrong number. You want to prosecute a person for not dialing correctly? This is all based on your post. By the way, did you do your part and report the number to the federal and state DNC lists?
