They called and asked me to get a PSE&G bill and to verify information so I would receive a 13% discount off my electric bill. They had claimed to be calling on behalf of Positive Energy Company.
Got a call from them today. They are very persistent. I just reported them to ConEd. They try to convince you they're legit by using actual ConEd Employee names and ID numbers. The man I spoke to had a very thick Indian accent, and called himself Mike Fernandez. Yeah right. They use a legit ConEd program to try to get you to "confirm" your information, by which they mean tell them your account number, name, etc. I'm surprised they didn't ask for my social security number.
Just got a call from 718 514-9882. He had a thick Indian accent. I asked him where he is from, he said
NYC and his name is Michael Jones. Yeah right. LOL. He wanted me to get a CON ED bill, but of
course, I didn;t. When I asked him what my name was, he told me an alias, that I have been using for
over 30 years, so I didn't get charged for an unlisted number. I hung right up on the jerk.
I tried calling that number back, but of course, no one answers the phone.
