Yes the 3 different men during this call all had very thick accents......were calling to discuss a lawsuit against me for internet check fraud. Said I gave their client permission to withdrawal funds from my account that were not available. Threatened me with going to jail. They new my SSN and other info. I hung up and googled the number and called back. These guys have some guts. I tried to turn the tables and said my brother in law worked for the Attorney General's office and that I was recording the call so he could use it to sue for harassment. You believe he still kept talking until I had to talk over him and said I had enough information to hand over to my brother in law and thats when he finally hung up. Seriously!!!!!!! I can see where someone would fall for this crap if they had had some problems.
I just got a call from these guys at work and they somehow have my information on file telling me that I've been accused of a cyber crime and that I'm going to lose my job. When asked what this was all about they said they were from American Legal Service and that I would have to appear in the state of New York for a case. I asked them to send me the information in writing as this was the first I'd heard of it. The first gentleman I talked to refused, which I'm pretty sure is against the law, and told me I had to talk to the case manager. He transferred me and the case manager pretty much threatened me with losing my job because I wouldn't talk to him and asked him the same question regarding written information. After realizing he wasn't going to get far with me he told me I was going to jail and hung up.
I have received several calls from these people saying that they are going to send the police to my door.
They are all of Indian decent and the person who called said he was officer white,I told him that I was tracing the call and he got all nervous and told me not to trace the call and I also told him that I was calling the police and he said no don't do that and I asked him why are you scared and he said yes...please be aware of these people.if you receive any calls from these people just Google the number and it will give you the info and who these people are!
Help! They are calling my job. I changed my cellular but now they are calling my job. I don't know what else to do. I have reported them to the police, I have filed complaints with the FBI. Nothing is working. Yes, it's the same idiot with the accent using american names and he even said he was with the FBI and then legal services. I'm desperate. They are getting me in trouble at my job.
I have received numerous calls all from the same person. I have filed a complaint with IC3.Gov and enter there information in. I have also filed a police report. Other then telling them once I find them they will be taking a "Dirt Nap" they continue to call. Hang UP !!!!
I also have just received a call from them. They say that before they press charges I was to call them, before final steps occur. They are from India, although they use a legal U.S. number to make this call. I have been harassed for years and am really tired of it. I told them today that I had not been charged with anything in the years before, so if they truly have anything, work like a real law office and send me the information. They dont' have anything to send me. I have reported them to our State Attorney General's office who said to hang up on these bogus calls and do not worry about them
