I got the same thing. I posted my wheels for sale on Craigslist and the person texted me saying they were in South Carolina and could come to Alabama to buy but would use pay pal to purchase. I asked them to call me, and they said they are DEAF.... Lolllll. WTF.... You are deaf but u want rims to ride on.. Anyway, haven't heard bk frm them...
Deaf people can drive. The just have to use the mirrors a little more to compensate for not hearing an approaching siren.
Your texter is probably not deaf. He is from India or some other 3rd-world country and speaks English with a pronounced foreign accent. And he is planning to scam you. You are wise to end all contact with him.
