I left a comment on this page earlier. They called again. This time, it was obvious that a computer was talking to me. I waited on the line until I spoke to a real person. After thanking me for my donation (which I hadn't made), he asked me ho he could help me. I asked him to stop the calling. He said ok, and I had to interrupt him to ask him what my number was. He told me his number (maybe because I used *67 again). I had to tell him that was his number, and then he asked for mine, which I gave him. He told me that he would put my number on a 'do not call' list. We'll see what happens.
Next time ask what call center he's calling from or what telemarketing firm they are.Funny how their so benevolent with other peoples money. Check charity navigator if they do give you a name. One compay that as a telemarketer does solicite funds for many charities is A C services. This is list of all non profits for PBA NY but no telemarketer should ever beable to get money.

After getting a call from this number several times a day and NO ONE WAS ON THE LINE when I picked up, i blocked the number. Blocked numbers will ring once before getting dropped and still, after 6 weeks, these people are calling me 3 and 4 times a day. Its tiresome to say the least.
They call from different numbers, they will use 646 numbers too. I made the mistake of picking up a few times since the #'s are local and people I know (like my father) have bad habits of calling me from land lines or other peoples' cell phones. The same guy calls, tries to sound so nice and personable on the phone. Greets you like an old friend, then starts with his shpeel. Always the same guy with a different charity that he claims you donated to in the past. I always wind up hanging up on him, block the #. It's ridiculous.
