Dont worry, they didnt target you. They'll bother you for awhile(can be a long time) then give up. I have this happen to me all the time. they usually dont last for over a month though.
We are constantly getting calls from this phone number. Whenever someone answers the one who is calling disconnects. The calls are obviously made by an automatic dialer which uses "predictive dialing" to find the best time to call. It's irritating to say the least. I have called the number but the line is always busy.
For the past month have received calls from this number every 3 or 4 days. There's never anyone on the call. I don't understand why the attorney general isn't taking action. This is a ridiculous waste of time and a violation of my privacy.
This number called stating they were University services wanting to consolidate my student loans. They had the last four digits of my social security number and asked for the first five to look up my loans to give a decreased interest rate. Do not give them personal information!
My wife and I had been recieving calls from this number for the past three weeks, about every 2-3 days, usually around 5:00pm est. Everytime my wife answers, she says she can hear someone breathing but no response. I finally answered one call then which a man asked if he could speak with me reguarding my student loans and something about a issue with credit report and asked me for my old Student ID as well as my date of birth so that he could get a representive from the Department of Education to "clear up everything". This man claimed many times to work for the Department of Education, but after demanding serveral that he tell me if he ACTUALLY works for the Department of Education or if he works for a private company that does business with the DoE, he finally admits to working with a private company and NOT working for DoE.
Give no personal info to these people, if you see this number on your ID, don't answer it.
I'm tired of getting calls in from this number or private caller then no one answers the phone when you pick up. I'm not answering this number anymore. When I see it, I'm not picking up and if someone with private caller dials in, I'm not answering that either. If they want to talk they better leave a message, otherwise I'm not answering! I've had it, this a violation of my privacy and I'm not going to take it anymore!
