This number called be a few times. It is a telemarketing company offering me an entry into a sweepstakes and a free gift of a diamond watch and some magazine subscriptions. They then ask your age, education, hobbies etc. I initially thought it was a company I had legitimately signed up with, but immediately realized it was leading and they hung up, didn't give them my credit card info bur still waiting to see what comes from it - if they send me a bill etc. I tried calling back but number rings 4 times then gets busy signal.
Hopefully it won't be a hassle to fix. But be wary of them. Seen similar stories online for 7402048061
Second call from this number within past week. I do not answer unknown numbers and if they don't leave a message, they are added to my Call Blocker. Caller ID shows Carroll OH. From the other post my guess was correct, they are a telemarketing company/scammer that does not honor the Do Not Call List that I'm on.
Just got a call from this number, soliciting for 'homeless veterans.' Yeah, sure! If whoever is perpetrating this scam is reading this, please know that robo-calls are illegal in Ohio and that you can be prosecuted.
