This same thing happened to me as well! I had a wedding dress up on Craigslist for $250 and he texted me a day later...
"Hi this is Michael Blauw i saw the posting of your wedding dress on craigslist and i will like to know the condition and how much you are offering it last"
I gave him a few details and he replied...
"I want to purchase your wedding dress as soon as possible for my daughter before her Engagement/Wedding ceremony which is fast approaching..I will be paying you through a Bank Certified check so that you can have your cash in hand before shipping the dress...I will wawit for our bank to confirm and clear the check before we proceed with the shipment. I will need your full name and address to mail the check to and will be adding extra $50 for shipping, Michael"
I am SO GLAD I googled the name and number. I tried calling and it is a Google voice account and went straight to voicemail. I texted him back telling him I knew he was a scammer and to find an honest way to make money. Hope he gets caught!
SCAMMER!!!! This guy is all over the internet and what's hilarious to me is that he didn't change his number and still hasn't. "Michael Blauw", don't trust him, report him immediately if he contacts you.
