A lady said they got my number from credit card company and that they needed me to complete a 9 question survey to finish my entery to win $25,000 (someone clapping in the background). They also asked me if I had the said credit card...sounded fishy to me...then they hung up
Got a call from this 740-571-3355 just now and had one earlier today from a different number from Washington DC. Every time I get a call I don't recognize, I refer to this web site. My thoughts are that if they're not brave enough to ID themselves, I'm don't owe them my time or response. One word of caution, I did answer a survey last year when they interrupted my dinner and ended up with a ton of entities taking money out of my checking account without my knowledge and it's a pain to get it solved;a couple of them still can't be found! Jerks!!!! It's getting a little annoying today. Do be careful!
I filled out this survey which looked really legit. I NEVER use my real phone number but because it looked so authentic, I gave my real number. WHY did I do that??? NOW my phone is ringing all day with calls coming in from this and other numbers long distant numbers. Do Not Answer and also register your phone with the national do not call registry. www.donotcall.gov
