I received a voicemail message from this number, like the people above have reported. I read these posts before calling back, and having seen in one of them that the scammer identified himself as Alex Watson, when asked to give my name and number, that's the name I gave him. before I could even make up a number to give him, he stammered that he was looking for someone named Will and promptly put me on hold. after a while I just got tired of holding and hung up.
I received an automated call from this number stating that I was being sued by the IRS and if I wanted any information to call back. I called to see if this was in fact the IRS as it is not common for them to use an automated dialer. I spoke with Officer Alex Whatson, so he said, but his accent was so thick I could hardly understand what he was saying. I told him that he did not sound like an Alex Whatson. He stated that I had insulted him and he would no longer provide me any information and to not call this number again. I could just wait for the police to arrest me as they would arrive at my house within 40-55 minutes. We shall see.
