I received a voicemail message from this number, like the people above have reported. I read these posts before calling back, and having seen in one of them that the scammer identified himself as Alex Watson, when asked to give my name and number, that's the name I gave him. before I could even make up a number to give him, he stammered that he was looking for someone named Will and promptly put me on hold. after a while I just got tired of holding and hung up.
This number - and others - have called leaving a woman's voice recording saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit. I made the mistake of calling back and it was obviously a call center from the background noise. A guy who could barely speak English asked me if the police had visited me yet with the lawsuit from the IRS for my errors in reporting tax since 2009. I hung up. Scammers. Ugh!
I have never called them back, but if I do, I will say that I am Alex Watson, like Ben did. They have also called from 000-000-0000, which we have blocked, but it still gets through somehow.
