This is 100% a scam. They called telling me that they were with the Windows OS, and that they had noticed some errors on my home computer. When I laughed and told them that this was the worst scam call I had ever received as I've not utilized Windows in over a decade, I was told I was "terminated" and then hung up on.
SCAM!!! THEY ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH WINDOWS OS!
I received two calls today from this number. I missed the first call. I answered the second call and the said they were from Windows and that they had tracked an error on my computer.
I immediately told them, "You are a scam and you just want to have access to my computer to get information off of it,"
He then said (in his India accent), "How do you know that?"
I said, "Because I believed you and gave access before and you messed up my computer." (I did not give them access before, but wanted to see what they would say...)
He just HUNG UP! BUSTED!
SCAM...SCAM..SCAM!!!
DO NOT ANSWER,
DO NOT GIVE THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!!!
THEY ARE NOT FROM WINDOWS
Have called twice this afternoon in a short bit of time. No message left & I do NOT answer phone numbers that I do not know anymore. If important, anyone can leave a message otherwise as far as I'm concerned, just not important.
