Received call 9/21/09 from this number, woman with foreign accent.Caller ID said, "No Sho" and listed the number 781-322-1214. She asked for my son; said it was about his TV Guide, which he used to get but no longer subsribes to. When I told her that she hung up. I didn't even get a chance to tell her she was in violation of the "Do Not Call List". Will be reporting this numbe to FCC, with additional info gained here. Thanks.
Recieved two other calls from this number, I didn't pick them up. Today they called at 8:10 am and I did pick up to chew whoever out for calling too early. The caller id said "Unknown Name" but I have found out this is "North Shore Marketing". The woman started to ask if I was getting my TV Guide and I informed her as to what time it was and no solicitor may call before 9:00 am, she did apologize for the early hour and would change her list and I told her I did not recieve TV Guide and would not be buying anything from her company (she had identified the company as the generic "magazine distributor") at which point she hung up while I was talking. I usually let the phone go to machine for these calls, but I was not going to let this go by without crabbing. Better yet, answer the phone on speaker and let these people talk to dead air, they have to pay for calling the long distance number.
I just received one of thes calls. I took the advice of Beth from Williston ND and called 1 8-- 866 1400 which is the nbr for TV Guide. I spoke to a supervisor and told her my experience. She said that to her knowledge North Shore was NOT affiliated in any way shape or form with TV Guide. And would forward the name and nbr to the higher ups in her company. And she did thank me for reporting them... so if anyone else is getting these calls now pls do what I did and report them.....
