They do not leave a voicemail if you don't pick up, but if you call the number, you get a voicemail for Venture Data Call Research, "one of the premiere data research" companies in the business. Despite the fact that they are in my own area code (in fact, the number puts them in a nearby town that I can walk to in about 15 minutes), it says "OUT OF AREA", but at least they don't mask their phone number.

I don't want to get the calls, but perhaps some people do not mind - - they pick-up - - they respond. I don't know for sure, but why else would the calls continue ?

My point is that the people doing the calling are likely low paid and hard working. I have no doubt of that having worked in companies with active call centers. No doubt at all.

I feel guilty in that I know I am doing better than the caller ( financially,economically ) but I do not want the call and I will not even consider the option of doing any business with them.

1st off, "I" didn't get a phone for your company to call and harassment from not only your type of research company but "all" the scam companies out there, it is a pain in the (.) plain and simple and harassment, one of these days I will not be surprised if someone takes a blow horn can to the phone receiver and blow out someone's eardrums... Never tried it my self, but if someone does do it, let me know.

Blow horn into receiver could solve a few issues, it's harassment to call my both my cell and house numbers, I can see it now, enter your number they won't call you anymore "BUT" they WILL sell your number(s) to the other chump companies! Remember, it's all about the "almighty dollar" to these pos!
