everyone in my family has received an average of 20 calls a piece from 781-936-4239. When we answer an automated female voice informs us "This is the second notice of the expiration of your warranty on your vehicle..." None of us ever hangs on to find out what else is said. We don't have an expired warranty on any of our cars. We know this is a bogus call. I want to find out who this number belongs to and have it blocked.
You can call the number back and you should now be given the option to press a button and be removed from their call list. It is an Extended Warranty Company but the phone number has probably been given to them from your dealer or car manufacturer (GMAC/Chrysler) when you gave them your number and not your cell phone company. Bottom line, read the fine print on a contract that you sign or you'll have to deal with damn annoying calls!
Oh ya, and of course, as I'm sure most know, NEVER agree to do anything over the phone or give out ANY personal or financial information. If you want an extended warranty, reasearch & more importantly INTITAITE it YOURSELF or you are creating a serious credit hazard!
