They have called my house and my cell phone. I received a call from one of the same company, different number. They called from the area where my son and his family as well as my sister live. I only answered the phone because I thought that something may have happened to one of them and someone was calling for them. They were calling about a car I no longer owned. I told them I did not have that kind of car. They asked what car I did have and I told the guy it was none of his business. The numbers are now blocked. I am not sure what happens when the number is blocked since they will continue to call. I thought it might be a message that says this phone is not taking calls.
They called yesterday and became hostile when I told them I wasnt interested and no longer owned the car anyways.
They called back today - had the guy on the phone for 35 minutes thinking he was selling me a 5 year policy for just over 4 grand... needless to say he had some choice words when I told him I know longer owned that car and asked if he enjoyed having his time wasted. Im sure I will get called again and again....
You can file a complaint at the website for National Do Not Call Registry or you can call the number +1-888-382-1222, the telephone number is a menu-driven system. So just listen carefully to the information they want and internet appropriately. I have been on the Do Not Call Registry since 2003 which by the way you can check to see if your number is on the registry or not. that is to say I have been on the registry for 14 years so obviously either these spammers scammers whatever you call them are ignoring the Do Not Call Registry or the Do Not Call Registry is not working. These people are driving me nuts they started out with 804-594-xxx x numbers and I blocked 804-594-xxxx all numbers from there. So if you were trying to call me from area code 804 and prefix 594, you will need to spoof your own number to get through my do not call software I have on my phone. LOL. These people are driving me nuts they call consistently never leave a voicemail and if I don't know the number I won't answer the phone until you leave a voicemail I recognize the number and add you to my contact list. so good luck with getting them to quit calling you but at least do put yourself on the Do Not Call Registry are check and make sure you are on it
