Recorded message from "Susan"..... I hung up immediately. Expecting a call from a freight carrier today so needed to answer the phone. The telescammers are busy today, this is the 5th call today from various and assorted telecriminals.
Answered the call (on my cell phone...did not have on my glasses so could not see the number on my id, but I was expecting a call from someone else). When I answered, a pre-recorded message began "If you are a woman experiencing symptoms from menopause..." and I hung up.
Same as above. Noted a charge on CC for 49.99.After similar call last week. Particular card was involved in both recent major retailer breach. Seems they are checking for someone live on the # you have for the card. (only one used for this) Figure no one will notice small amounts per individual. But times 1000? Problem is I know elders that will gladly talk away. Scams also finance the terrorist networks.
They are rude to call. Do not call them you might get charged for the call. Just keep checking your cc for charges you did not make. Go back to the old days and PAY CASH and amen to that!!!
People should not return calls to numbers they are not familiar with. The numbers are often spoofed. If the number isn't out of service, it could belong to somebody that has no connection to the operation in question. As for my cc, they cannot make charges to card with the number.
The moral here is not to entertain these operations.
