The owner of this phone number claim his name is Bray Lewis or Mike Taylor or Peter Noronha. He has multiple phone numbers including 804-715-8076 and (501) 438-9451. This may be an individual or a group, but the one I spoke to has a European accent. He lists rental/sale properties all over the internet for way below market price in order to reel in the next victim (zillow, trulia, etc....).
The warning signs are that he will pick up a private call, but only to tell you that he won't speak to you unless you call back on your own phone with the number showing, and then hang up. If you call him back with a number showing, he will not pick up. Instead, he will try to send you a text after a few minutes to make sure it is a cell phone so that he can sign you up for services, sell your number, or do a myriad of other illegal activities with it.
The other warning sign is that he will tell you that he's out of state and can't show the property, but encourages you to submit an application and pay a deposit and he'll mail you the keys. Of course, if you are naive enough to give him all your private info and money, then the only thing you'll receive in the mail are bills for credit cards and services you never knew you had.
So please be warned. If a deal is too good to be true, then it most definitely is NOT true. Protect yourself and never ever submit an application unless you can see the inside of the house, and never pay anything unless you have the contract and keys in your hands. And if you pay, make sure it's check and not cash.
