Called this morning and left ominous sounding message that they are a debt collector.  Left a number for me to call: 877 something or other.  I have no debt.  Don't return the call.  They can't be legitimate.

Stellar Recovery? Isn't that the collections agency that Comcast hired after Hurricane Ike blew out the electricity for the entire southern part of Texas six years ago in 2007? There was no power or Internet service for over a month and longer? The storm blasted the circuitry in the Comcast routers that Walmart was selling for $40, but Comcast insisted that everybody without service and with non-functioning equipment continue to pay them $800 per month. Even the local federal bank had no Internet service. Is it THAT Stellar Recovery?

Hoo-boy! Stellar must have hired a new posse to try and convince people to pay for something they never got. Maybe Stellar is hoping the people who got screwed have either forgotten or are feeling like donating to charity. I wonder if the new employees even know that Comcast is so hated that they had to change their name to "Xfinity"? LOL! They're not fooling anybody. Now, everybody simply hates "Xfinity" AND Comcast.

Stellar Recovery called my house today. For the Stellar people who come online to see what others are saying about them, let me save you some grief. The answer is still, "No. I will not pay". That will never change.

I checked my credit report today and have to admit that it was very gracious of you all to lower my "debt" from $880 to $500. However, I still will not pay. Not even one single penny.

So, quit calling. It's useless and you'll just end up getting yourself all upset. It ain't worth it.

Wait a minute! Comcast did not HIRE Stellar Recovery...Stellar Recovery BOUGHT the "debt" from Comcast!

IMO, it takes some kind of genius business acumen to buy debt that is not even debt. I am laughing at how Stellar Recovery screwed themselves. I'll bet Comcast is laughing too. $880 for what? For no service? How much did you pay for that $880, Stellar? oh, lol, oh, lol.

They call every few days looking for someone whose name I can't quite make out. I press all the appropriate buttons to let them know they have a wrong number but they keep calling.  I do not owe anyone anything.  Caller ID says "Out of Area"

Yes, predatory debt collection tactics include deceptive and unfair business practices and failure to identify business. The call are automated and offer no information of debt collector calling and no way to ask who's calling. They may also use similar tactics of calling but when you ask for their identity, they hang up. Debt collectors do not have wrong numbers, they have numbers that are "associated" with an account. Their favorite "Associated list" numbers to call are to relatives and friends. Make complaint through their BBB to expose their predatory tactics followed up with complaints to all state and federal consumer protection agencies. http://www.bbb.org/eastern-washington/busines ... ll-mt-64004319/#
