This number shows up on our company caller ID at least twice per week. They never leave a message. Something is definitely wrong here. We will never answer these calls what a complete waste of time.

Me: May I ask who is calling?
Rude B@$^&#: PBT...I need to speak to the person in charge of Payroll
Me: I'm sorry- who is this again? (because she is speaking very fast like its a life or death emergency)
Rude B@$^&#: (nasty sigh) PBT...i need to speak to Paroll...would that be Cathy?
Me: What is this regarding?
Rude B@$^&#: (another heavy sigh) If you had a question about Payroll...who would you go to???!!
Me: CLICK!!!! (HANGING UP PHONE)

after I waste their time with several questions
Its Thursday and this number has called every day this week...now they ask directly for Payroll by name only having gotten it off her voice-mail when transferred.
Today when asked what this was regarding (because i like to waste their time) I was told it was regarding "payroll practices"
Yesterday it was regarding "taxes/payroll/HR information..blablabla..."
Today's Caller was, at least more polite than others who have called.
That said, this is still obviously a scam, and she was put on hold until i put her direct to voice-mail.
Her: Can I speak to some random name in regards to something? (Speaks super fast).
Me: Can you repeat the name?
Her: UGHH, hangs up. What a douche. I almost want to meet her in person......
A woman called wanting to speak to the sales manager or marketing, after asking what the call was regarding 'let me speak with sales manager' I informed her about our marketing process 'No! I need to speak to the sales manager' repeated our process 'Oh, my god' and hung up. No name, no company name.
