Received a call today from an UNKNOWN number. A voice recording combined with and electronic recording left a message for me stating that they had received a complaint in their office for service dated June 26, 2015. This would be considered a failure to appear. I could handle the matter voluntarily and arrange for my surrender by contacting the plaintiff at 864-962-4093. If I failed to do so, the proper authorities would be dispatched to my residence or place of employment. No company information, no information at all from the caller. I work in law enforcement and have received numerous calls such as these over the years. I have also taken numerous reports concerning these type of scammers. I am so irritated that these scams continue. I implore you to come for me, I have a new shiny set of handcuffs ready for use and would love an opportunity to lock these individuals up. I'll be waiting for my much needed vacation.
Lol, I'm just amazed that this type of scam is still going on. I mean you can report it to your local PD, but because these numbers tend to be spoofed, it's hard to figure out exactly where they are originating from. I have a contact at the AG's office in South Carolina, I will give her a call on Monday and pass on the info.
