Received a call from this number. They said they had a complaint about me, gave me a case # and tried to scare me with bad use of legal terminology into calling another number in regards to a legal matter. They wouldn't tell me what the matter was about or what their company was. SCAM.
If you call that 888-822-7136 mentioned above, the after-hours robo greeter IDs them as "Stanford Associated Services". No idea where
they are located.
Got two calls from this number, first time I missed it and they didn't leave me any messages. Second time was today and I answered. Some foreign woman asked if I was over the age of18 and if I can take this legal call for a S. Strattler. I told her that wasn't even me, the foreign [***] mumbled something in her native tongue and slammed the phone down had in my ear.
Received a call from the same number. I don't usually answer calls that I don't recognize. I immediately browsed the phone number. Thanks for all your feedback. I will not answer if they call back.
Got a call from this number saying they received a complaint from my ex girlfriend, from 15 years ago, and asked if I could deliver a message (they just said her name, didn't know our relationship). I told them I haven't spoken to her in over 13 years. They said "oh, well you probably aren't in contact then." I said no and they hanged up.
Her and I rented an apartment together, and that was the only thing in which we signed our names together. I'm guessing these scammers have access to old credit or tax info.
Who the crap is Stanford Associate Services. I keep getting a call after hours at my place of employment. When I try to return the call I get a main stating there hours and then hang up. I don't know who these folks are, but they should have checked the number and person that they start calling. Now I going to harasses them and see how they like that. As of today I am reporting this number and business to the appropriate authorities. 844-389-4991 this is the number they are calling from, if you see this number do not give them any information on you or your family.
