scam..
I received a message from this number too,1 917- 285-1454, called it back claiming he is a Treasury officer Shawn Marshall, gave me his badge number and an account number. Told me i have 3 federal tax cases..threatening me with jail time, freezing my bank account, police and sheriff to get me, face court bill amounting 45,000 bucks..This is my first time to receive this kind of call and I was so afraid and ended up humbly asking what are my options..coz who wants to go to jail?.. Jeez.. then he said if I pay $1600 right now using RITE-AID or WALLGREENs.. he can fix it but it has to be now.. i need to dress up and go now...and don't hung up til I reach the store. I was stunned...unless they work over-time.. Its Saturday 5pm in New York, no work for Gov employees...i placed him on hold ( which makes him so irritated saying i don't need to took to anyone) and called the police for advice..
I told him I called the police and gave his number and also called the FBI ..
..he just hung up..
IRS scam claiming he has a "case file" number. Called once and my voice mail was all static. Called a second time and left a message on my voice mail about this supposed "case filed against me."
Irs scam dont talk to them or beleive them.They said you have a case against you . They will say you are going to be arrested and even use gov agency caller id to substanciate claims.Dont give them money no matter what.Dont be a victim. I was so upset .Please share this .
I called this number and told the guy he was a fraud. He said they were going to send agents to my house. I called from a work number and they said they were sending over agents. I never said who I was or city I live in. I told him he was a fraud and hung up.
Bill he did the same to me and even they used a police department number to call and impersonate and the caller id was city government so I called the police and they said that it was a scam. They said they were getting federal warrants and all kinds of stuff .Press release by irs out saying that this is happening . It is annoying as all get out Bill. Talking about bond codes .This is scarey .Are we not safe in our own country any longer?
This guy called me and I played with him a little then things escalated to threats ect and lots of vulgarities so I hung up. Ten mins later someone else called from the same number and went strength threats so I did what any red blooded American would do I started reading him versus from the bible and he started in about how I was an infidel and allah would strike me down I had fun with it looking forward to the next call
