Automated message well before 9 a.m. from someone claiming to be from IRS saying I was about to be in legal trouble..... sounded like the same voice from last time they tried me
I received a call at 5:34 am PST woke us up before the alarm clock. I forwarded tit to voice mail. The voicemail says it is the IRS Calling and that there is a case pending against me related to fraud
I ignored a call from this number as I did not recognize it. The caller left a voicemail claiming to be the Internal Revenue Service and stated that if I did not return their call they would be forced to bring charges against me in a court of law. I called them back and was answered by a woman whose first language did not appear to be English. She asked for my first and last name as well as my zip code. She then said, "Ma'am, are you aware that the IRS has a case filed against you?" I asked on what grounds it was being filed and with whom I was speaking for my own records. She paused and then we were disconnected. I called the number again and the same woman answered. I recounted what had just happened, she did not respond, and then hung up on me.
This is a big scam they are not the irs please don't fall for this wake scam use common sense. Nobody going to jail they are in India looking for victims to scare and scam. Warn others google IRS phone scams.
