I just received a Call from 917-310-3010. My I pushed for the name of the rep who told me he is Andy Piersack and asked for a badge number and he gave me 8005073AL. He hung up on me two times. I could hear the background sound as a call center. I imagine it is a scam as I never recieved any mail from IRS and have been on time each year.
This is the first time they've ever called me. Just for the heck of it, I picked up but said nothing A very polite woman's voice started the harangue, sounded like a recording but knowing what I know, I just quietly stated "scammer, scammer, scammer..." and kept repeating. The voice stopped and something was mumbled altho I continued with my "spiel". I kept it up until the
voice went away with a click. Hopefully they figured it out. This has been all over the news of
late; why do they keep this scam up? Pretty stupid!
Yes we got two calls from this number leaving a message like theywere the ira! Lucky it has been allll over the news that they are a scam for ira never calls people. Home lines are really becoming a mess with people calling every day that you do not know!!!!!
We got 2 calls today from 917 310 3010 claiming to be the IRS telling us we were being sued. I checked the area code and it is a Brooklyn #....sadly, some people do not realize this is a scam and may fall for it. I hope they catch these scumbags soon!
