I have received calls from this number for the past week now. They say they are from Goldman, Walker and Associates. They do not identify themselves as a debt collector. The guy says that I have a pending litigation against me in the state of Iowa and it is important that I call him by end of business today. i have contacted the court system in my county and do not have anything filed against my name. I thought it was illegal for them to claim they were going to persue legal action against you....? Also, when I look up the origin of the number, it says New York, but the Goldman, Walker and associates online is in Arizona. Seems pretty fishy to me....
Received numerous calls from 917.336.6270 a person (Walter Thomas) claiming to represent Goldman Walker & Associates that I have 2 charges against me from the state of Oregon for payday loans with wrong DOB says the amount is for $300.00 but can accept $150.00 to issue exoneration documents and keep it from going into a warrant. Wanted my debit/credit card info to hold the payment as good faith and would retrieve the money on date I specified. They claimed to have ran my information in the NCIC data base and found that I have NO BAD CHECK OR BANK FRAUD HISTORY. Beware not sure if they are legit did not give them any banking info told them I needed to research online their company.
I just received calls from 646-741-2095 stating they were from Goldman Walker and Associates and were going to file two felony charges against me if I didn't comply. Said my file was going to the State Attorney's Office and I would be arrested immediately for theft by deception and check fraud. First, the date they are claiming I took out the payday loans is so far back the statue of limitations has expired and second they are a collection agency that bought a debt. Do not believe a word they say. Verified with a police officer friend of mine that stated they are getting a lot of complaints about this and it is just a debt collector using illegal tactics. When asked to send me something in writing or send me a fax they said they couldn't do that. WHAT???
