Received a call from 917-387-1153; I missed the call --however, the caller left a professional sounding message (actually an automated recording in a female's voice) indicating that I was being sued by the IRS. I wasn't concerned because I'm not aware that the IRS calls anyone; they typically conduct business via letter. Long story short, I called the number & reached a voice recording of a male with a heavy Asian accent. Funny enough, Verizon identified the number as belonging to a specific female, whom I do not know. Big time SCAM! Do not fall for it.
They say that it's a final notice and that the irs is filing a lawsuit on me. They tell me to call back to the number that's given. I just want this number to stop calling because I feel like this is a scam. Please help.

When this number calls, you will get an automated msg saying that the IRS is suing and immediate action needs to be taken. When calling back this number, you are immediately directed to a voicemail message that says in a VERY HEAVY CHINESE ACCENT WITH POOR GRAMMAR that you have reached "internal revenue service" and to to leave your name/number to get a call back. THIS IS A SCAM. Calling back the number just to hear this guy's accent is very hilarious btw!
its an automated call stating its from the IRS and they are suing you. when calling the number back, its a recorded message that says you have reached IRS and to leave your info. total scammer.
