Yet another call...no message...as usual...scammers. We get so many of these calls, it ridiculous! They just want you to answer, then hang up, when they know they have an open/good line, they can then sell it to other scammers. Oh joy! More people to make our lives ever so pleasant...NOT!!!! I hate these people!!! WHY can't we stop them?? For now, we have gotten rid of our land line...why should we have to????...and go to cells, the good thing with the cells are...we downloaded "Black List" and we LOVE it! We don't answer any number we don't know before we check it first, the put in in the black list file, and are never bothered again...until the next one calls...then just do the same thing again. What a pain in the A**!!!!!!!! We have no right to peace in our own homes...they have all the rights to do what ever they want to disturb us in our homes...nice...ain't it wonderful?
You didn't have to scrap the landline. I was getting swamped on a daily basis with worthless calls. I turned off my answering machine in 14 and completely ignored unknown numbers. I have gone some weeks without a single call on my landline. It's a live number they're after most, which they can get from an automatic answer. A live voice is even better. Many of the smarter posters on here have given call blockers for landlines high praise. It takes a lot of patience, but completely ignoring the calls was how I vastly cut back on the number of junk calls I was getting. Why can't they be stopped? It's a little hard to do when you can benefit from spoofed numbers and VOIP calls. When the majority of the calls come from overseas, it becomes even harder.
