I got three calls from Starnet 917-423-3933 as well in twenty-four hour period. Each time was a male voice with a very heavy Indian accent telling me that he is calling about Time Warner and at&t companies. I stated that I do not have them and he said that I was listed as having phone services with them, that is not true as the only thing I have from those two is DirecTV. When I told him that I was on the do not call list on all three times he became very upset and was not happy that I was basically giving him a hard time with a line similar to "I can save you some money here 'SIR' if you would just co-operate' to which I responded asking simply for the name of his company and city and state the main office is located. He told me that he did not have to give me that information and hung up when I mentioned that i had his number and caller ID name and would be reporting it he spat a few profanities and hung up on me.
When I googled the name Starnet or even STARNET it gave me a list of results that did not seem likely except for possible the Wikipedia page that says its a internet provider in Chişinău, Moldova which leads me to suspect that it is a voice over IP user but not sure as unable to find information that confirms that it shows the IP companies name as caller on caller ids
This number called me saying they were from Time Warner Cable and wanted to save me money with a new package. It sounded very good and much less than I was paying now, but soon found out it was not Time warner cable but wanted to switch me to another company, wanted my SS number, driver's license, and charge card. I did give me them my charge card but I did google this number and it said a lot of complaints, and was not TWC. So I did call the bank and have their charges blocked. After doing that they called me back and told me I could have the package for a lower price but I told them I had blocked the charges. they still call me back about every day. They do not seem to understand English when I tell them I am not interested. Do not get involved with these people. You will be sorry.
