This number just called our business today at 1058 hours. Because it said "New York NY" on the caller ID I knew it was yet another scammer/spammer. So I picked up the call and said nothing in case it was an automated system waiting to hear a voice before triggering an idiot-message. I could hear boiler room noise in the background and what sounded like the caller chewing gum into the receiver. Really classy. A woman's voice inquired, "Hello?" to which I responded in bored fashion. She asked to talk to [boss' first name.] I told her, no. That threw her a curve. She asked if she had called a business. I told her it was, but that we have no interest in doing business with them, told her to have a nice day, and disconnected. But they will, of course, call, call again, because that's what scam artists and shady "businesses" do. We don't do business with cold-callers and I would never do business with a cold-caller who uses an unfixed VoIP number like these people. If you can't be upfront about who you are, I'm not going to let you waste our time.
