The DNC list has legal authority over legal callers whom you want to block or remove from your list of authorized callers. Most are places like banks and retailers, which generally have in the fine print that you, as a customer of theirs, agree to their calling you to sell or offer you something. The crooks, scammers, spoofers and other low-lifes thumb their noses as the DNC list. Only call-blocking services or phones that have a call-blocking feature will keep those calls from reaching you.
