Talk to a live representative from Pisa Group/Cox Media/Dayton Daily News at (314) 961-6200 or write them at 8063 Watson Rd, St. Louis 63119. Make sure that you are at least as annoying and rude as they are! I have not subscribed to the Dayton Daily news since 1978, have no intention in ever doing so again, and consider them to be an untrusted news source, slightly below neighborhood gossip in reputability.
Canceled my sub to the DDN several weeks ago. Hated to do this, but being a subscriber for more than 10 years, with specific instructions on where to deliver my paper (at the front door, not the front yard, middle or end of the driveway, under my car along with wet papers, missed placed paper, missing paper), I was done.
Like some others here, I got a call 72 hours later asking me if I wanted to renew or start delivery of the paper.
I was polite at first, told them why I dumped them (see above) and why I did not want to subscribe again.
They continued the "pressure". I then got rude and said, "What, you don't take no for an answer like Comcast?" With that comment, they got the hint real quick and terminated the call.
Looks like I'll be adding them to the block list, hopefully it will stop them, but they probably have other numbers to use.
There are some days where they call a dozen times. Late calls (around 9:00) are common as well. Have two small kids...DDN is costing my family sleep!! Cancelled my subscription several months ago...now refuse to even visit their website. Nice move DDN...nevr giving you a shred of my business again!!!
