he called yesterday at work while I was really busy. Heavy acccent. asked for someone that does not work here. I hung up on him. He called right back and I let it go to voicemail. He called this morning and I told him that no one worked here by that name and to stop calling. Annoying.
UPDATE 3 -- This guy has now called nine (9) times today, adding UPS and CitiBank to his repertoire. Due to heavy accent, must ask him to spell and repeat everything. What a waste of time! Finally had it and slammed the receiver down. Will see what happens.

called my work (I'm the receptionist) asked for my boss, but couldn't pronounce his name. Same guy as described as above (very heave accent). He said he was calling from Dr. Jones' office. That's a tactic a lot of these a-holes use to dodge someone trying to screen calls like I do, they say they're from a dr/s office because people usually don't ask too many more questions after it. NOT THIS RECEPTIONIST! If you can't say the name of your own patient correctly you are probably NOT who you say you are!
I am getting the exact same thing at my place of work. It used to happen a couple times a week, and now the past two days I've gotten probably 15-20 calls. Most of them from this number- 9419235822. But then the last one was from 5628036682. They keep asking for employees at Life Technologies which has nothing to do with our company. I started keeping a list yesterday after talking with someone at Life Technologies.
