The call I got from these people said that I had 3 warrants for my arrest and needed to give them my attorney's informations. It was for fraudulant checks. I have been getting this type of call for the last three years. I have changed my phone number twice in that time and they still manage to get my number. Not only do they threaten me but they are also abusive verbally to me. I have also called the police in the 951 area code and was told that this is a scam. Don't tell these people any of your information.
I received the same threatening voice mail message (Asian man with heavy accent). By the time I finished listening, I was trembling. I couldn't understand why someone would be notifying me of a lawsuit via telephone. Once I calmed my nerves I Googled the phone number and found all these posts here. I am so glad I check this out before calling him back.
I went online to get a cash advance and then started getting these calls stating that I was being arrested for fraud on my bank account and writing checks (which I don't have) he then asked me if I wanted to settle this outside of court I said no he then told me I was going to be arrested at work in Oklahoma City and be transported to California he then asked me if I was sure I didn't want to pay $500.00 to clear my name. I said NO if you are wanting money from me then you need to summons me by an attorney and we will go from there. He said ok I will summons you at your job I said ok then. [***] how low can people be these days.
I received the exact phone call yesterday at my job stating that I needed to pay them $545.00 within 30 minutes, and that I would be arrested at 5pm yesterday and sent to California this morning.
I just got a call from the same guy with an Indian accent from "Federal Bureau of Relations". When I told him I knew it was a scam because I actually work at a law firm (he told me he worked at a law office) and that he was full of crap and then hung up on him, he called right back and said, well, yelled, "Oh yeah? Well just wait. There will be police at your house in exactly 2 and half hours and then we will subpoena your work!" then he hung up. These people are incredible. How do they sleep at night, knowing they do this to people?
OK, this idiot left a message at my home now, telling me he is from a law office, Federal Bureau of Business and Relations, and if I don't return is call, all he can say is good luck and wait until this whole thing unfolds and good bye and good luck because it will be the start of a huge legal mess. Again, I work for lawyers, I this guy is a scammer. What a load of crap.
