Regrettably there are a number of loopholes in the "Do Not Call" program. Among them are callers who
you have had/continue to have a business relationship with (ie: your credit card issuer, banks, retail establishments, etc) AND their affiliates, whoever they may be, debt collectors, and oh, in our case, Political calls.
Gee - who would have thought that the politicians would have excluded themselves from the Do Not Call list. This includes, their Survey teams, as well as other commercial option takers.
Mind you; they still have to follow Federal and State guidelines when placing calls but they can call you anytime they want without fear of whatever weak kneed penalties they have provided for the original bill...
There seems to be a big misunderstanding about how the Do Not Call list works. It doesn't block anything.
Honest businesses will honor your request not to receive telemarketing calls if you are on the Do Not Call list.
Scum telemarketers and politicials will just call your number and there is little to nothing you can do about it.
Also, in many cases they didn't "get" anyone's phone number. The telemarketers phone systems just dial every number they are programmed to dial and see what the results are.
This particular company is known scum and change their caller ID frequently.
