Picked up the phone but set it on mute right away.
No sound whatsoever on the other side, a sure sign of a robotic call.
They disconnected after about ten seconds.
The number is on my block list now.
I'm with Primus (VoIP) and they are generally pretty good at blocking unsolicited phone calls. For those that pass through there is the block list and call screening. All together works very well - I get about one unwanted call a week or less.
I tired of these stupid scam calls, claiming to be a non-profit survey that wants you to buy something and to hand over your credit card numbers. The FTC is doing nothing to stop the abuse of the Do Not Call list.
