it doesn't matter if you are on DNC since that is for physical cell #s or landlines registered in the US... the registry doesnt block international or VOIP calls...unfortunately... so thats how these POS's get away with it. and it is really really annoying
8/21/12 - I answered the call from 971-213-1916 at 5:37 PM and listened to a recording which early on offered to press 8 to opt-out...which I did too quickly since I didn't get a company name, etc. Caller ID shows Sherwood OR.
So, I called back and received a non-committal recording conveying the number belongs to a "marketing organization" and to press 1 to opt-out. I did - just hoping that didn't cancel my earlier opt-out. LOL
Received call in Spanish asking personal information re boyfriend or husband and income. Sounds like (scary) prank. But there was a supervisor who came on also.
