Called my mothers house first..... Making the claim about windows....we use a Mac computer at her house..2days later I get a call at my home.... Same claim so I asked why would you call a house that has a Mac computer They hung up so I decided to look this # up and came across this site
Please ignore all these calls as the all the "friendly" help with assumed problems have nothing to do with your computers or any kind of Windows registrations.
"I'm working with Windows" - typically non English statement. I'm a computer tech and I work with Windows too every day. Microsoft is not calling and soliciting calls to verify registrations.
Realize that they only thing these scammers want is to connect to your computer remotely to plant a backdoor or a virus so they can later log in and steal personal information and passwords when you are doing other things. They will plant a key logger so your passwords when you go online to pay bills will be exposed.
IGNORE all these calls and give them your piece of mind of their operation. Blow them a new one!
These Indian scammers needs to know their place in the world. They will become a fly in their next lifetime for bad Kharma!
Just got a call - was asked for my name and that they were calling from Windows about Windows security. Got angry and asked how they got my name, and he hung up.
Just received the same call claiming issues with operating system. They asked us to log on. Figured it was a scam and apparently it was! Remind the kids to not answer these types of calls!!!
