I agree, this is just simply a way for you to get lower rates on your gas or electric bills. Since new laws were passed alot of consumers are not aware of this right...i do not think its a scam at all, and you are able to cancel your switch at anytime you are not satisfied
Received a call from this number and they were offering to reduce my energy costs. Almost exactly like the calls to reduce my interest rate on credit cards.
The call was from someone named "Myra" calling from a company called "Energy Discount Center" located in Brroklyn. She would not give me their address but did give me a phone number that I assume is bogus, 718-406-0490.
I explained I was on the Federal Do-Not-Call list and I needed their address, that's when she hung up on me.
There is a website called "energydiscountcenter.com" which I recommend you DO NOT enter information on. Whois has a registration in CA with a phone number of 510-595-2002 which I assume is also bogus.
Have had two phone calls from this number where messages are not left on our machine. Have not been able to find out who (or what) is calling--based near Beaverton, Oregon. Any answers???
