They don't "get your number" from anywhere.  The just dial every possible number.  It is totally illegal.  File a complaint at DoNotCall.gov if you have registered you number there.

Legitimate political surveys are allowed.  These people offer (at least to me) a free cruize for taking a 30 second survey.  No legitimate survey would even try to do that.  It is a scam  Complain at DoNotCall.gov.

I'm convinced that the Do Not Call registry only stops the honest companies.
