These people call themselves American Alarm, and they "want to put a sign in the yard and in return you will receive a free installation of an alarm system with cameras"--Don't know if this is legit or not. Told them I wasn't interested, and hung up before they could finish their spiel.
A man called at 7:50 p.m. EST from GE Home Security. At the end of the phone call, when I said I did not need security, he said "Have a good day Jane, I hope you don't get robbed!"
These people are scoff laws! They totally disregard the Do Not Call Registry and pity the poor victim who signs up! You will be robbed over the phone. THIS IS A SCAM OPERATION.
Got calls from this number on 6/11 & 6/12. My caller ID says "American Alarm". When I picked up, they hung up. When I called the number back, a recording said the number is no longer in service. Check with local American Alarm folks and they said they have had multiple complaints about this bogus call over the last 2 weeks.
