If your cell phone has the ability to "block" the number. Block the number. Don't screw with it. Google the number and if you have no clue who it is ? Block em. That's what I do all the time.
received a call from this number..did not leave a message...when I called the number back its saying it has been disconnecting..what the heck is that about.
I get periodic calls on my cell phone from 971-220-1926. It is always a recording about end of life insurance. Today I decided to press 1 to seek to a representative so I could request my number be removed from thir list. The man I spoke to was extremely rude. He demanded to know my name, which I wouldn't give him because he called me! When I asked to speak to a manager, he repeatedly told me to calm down and stop being redundant. He finally said he was the manager. I told him that telemarketers are not allowed to call cell phones. He said he had no idea who I was so I asked if I needed to formally report them. To which he asked how I was going to find any information to report! I told him I would do some research and hung up.
Oh course, when I called the number on my caller I'd, it was disconnected. A google search just brought up complaints like this. So I did a search for end of life insurance companies in Greshem OR, which is where my iPhone said the call originated from. The population is roughly 100000 people so how many end of life insurance companies could there be?
As luck would have it, I found some old job listings for an end of life insurance company in Greshem OR called Secureus. There website appears to be http://securusfinalexpense.com/index.php. Of course this could be as fake as the caller I'd disconnected number. So I might be on the wrong track.
But I saved the number in my contacts so I will regognize it next time they call. Now I have a plan. I will pretend to be interested and see what info I can get from them. If we all do this, then we might actually get anough info to report this company! I'll report my findings in another post so we can help each other.
