Did not answer the call but got the same pre-recorded message today around 10:20am ... something like "police recommend protection and we'll put a small sign in your yard and install a new security system for absolutely free". what bs. If i am on the do not call list, how do these solicitors still get my phone #?!

I have been getting these calls a lot .I report every single call to the FCC who are imcompetent .You are supposed to be able to collect $7500 for each call made to you .Also I wouls put pressure on Verizon whose lines are being used .When I call these numbers the recording says this number is not in service .How can that be ?who pays for the service Verizon says they don't know who is making these calls .I would emphasize that if you are enraged like I am ,complain to the FCC and tell them like I do why should they collect our taxes and not enforce the law .There is some evidence that the sleeping giant the FCC is starting to stir .I would also complain to Verizon why do they allow phone numbers that are not in service break the law .With enough of you complaining we might get some results.

Same as everyone else - on the DNC list, but of course the law doesn't actually do anything since the government doesn't actually enforce it...
