I am on Do No Call List on both cell and land line phones and yet they still call. When I stay on line after call they never answer. Who are these people?
The National Association of Attorneys General, the Direct Marketing Association, the National Consumers League, and the AARP all urge consumers to be cautious with their personal information. According to FTC Chairman Timothy J. Muris, consumers can avoid these scams by taking the following precautions:
Don't share your personal information if someone calls you claiming to represent a "Do Not Call" registry, an organization attempting to stop fraud, or even the FTC itself. In fact, don't even stay on the line.
Keep information about your bank accounts and credit cards to yourself - including the numbers, unless you know the person with whom you're dealing.
Never share your Social Security number with a person you don't know.

Missed the same call to my cell yesterday pm. Called back this AM w/results as above. Thanks bmddtexas for the note on # blocking. Hopefully that will end yet another source of flagrant disregard of existing Do Not Call law for me at least.
Received a call on my cell with a recording that stated to be put on do not call list press 1 then enter you phone number. Than said if you want to leave a voice message press 1, If you want to speak with a live representative please hold. then call 971-220-1984,
No one came on the phone and can not get a live person to answer. This is a deliberate act of descriptive business practices and, "Well Put It This Way, The Antonym Of A Word That Starts With A M". Contact Secretary Of State In Oregon, Attorney Generals Office, Better Business Bureau, FCC. Read This, I'm Coming To Get You Legally, Not Physically.
